U.S. DEAF CURLING
History of US Deaf Curling
US Deaf Curling started with bang thanks to great performances by the
USA men and women curlers winning silver medals at the Winter
Deaflympics held at Salt Lake City, Utah in Feb 1-10, 2007.

Both teams had less than one year to get the team selected and trained
for the Deaflympics. They played very well to qualify for the gold medal
game where they were beaten by the experienced and heavily favored
Canadian teams.

In 2009, USA women won silver medal at the first World Curling and
Ice Hockey Championships held in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. USA
men placed 5th out of 5 countries.
